Screw conveyor is an efficient and widely used continuous conveying equipment. Its main structure is a spiral blade through a closed long groove or cylinder, tightly welded to the rotating shaft. When working, the motor drives the rotating shaft to rotate at high speed and drives the spiral blade to rotate synchronously. The material enters from the feed port, is pushed by the spiral blade, as if it is pushed forward continuously by an invisible hand, and is transported smoothly along the tank or cylinder to the discharge port. It can complete the material transportation in the horizontal, inclined and even vertical direction, suitable for grain, cement, coal and other powdered, granular and small block materials, with simple and compact structure, good sealing, stable and reliable conveying process, small footprint and other advantages, effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of the material transfer link in industrial production.
 
Working principle
When the motor of the screw conveyor starts, the motor drives the screw shaft to rotate. The spiral blade is fixed on the spiral axis and rotates with the spiral axis. The material enters the conveyor from the feed port. Due to the rotation of the spiral blade, the material is subjected to the normal thrust and friction of the blade. Normal thrust makes the material produce a component force along the direction of the spiral axis, so as to push the material forward; Friction makes the material rotate with the spiral blade, but because of the friction between the material and the tank or pipe wall, the rotation of the material is limited, so that the material is mainly transported along the axis and finally discharged from the discharge port. In this process, factors such as the pitch of the spiral blade, speed and the characteristics of the material will affect the conveying speed and conveying capacity of the material.
